Publishing articles is the key to making money for freelance writers, bloggers and webmasters. Yet frequently one hears complaints about how there isn’t enough time to write. This is nearly always untrue. If you have the time to complain that you have no time to write, you have some time to write.
If you want to write more articles, swear to yourself:
- I will honestly look into how much time I really have available
- I will give up whatever is wasting my time
- I will get as many ideas as I can
I will honestly look into how much time I really have available
Just about everyone who has complained, “I never have time to write” is kidding himself more or less. Do you go to the Facebook log in page before anything else? Did you read that joke your uncle sent you? Do you read news about the latest Hollywood scandal? Do you log in to your website and check your visitor statistics every day? Make a mental list of your Internet habits. Odds are you would come up with enough time that could be devoted to at least one article, maybe several.
I will give up whatever is wasting my time
Sacrifice, what a concept! But you have to do it. There’s only a finite number of minutes per day. If your current schedule won’t let you write as much as you want, there’s nothing else to do but toss other things that take up your time. You can’t give up your responsibilities to family and yourself, of course. So what’s left? Maybe games, jokes, viewing pictures of your favorite celebrities or taking surveys. You have a choice: have fun and never prosper, or work hard now and earn the rewards later.
I will get as many ideas as I can
Getting inspiration for new articles is the biggest challenge for many writers. It’s not as hard as it seems. Your biggest enemy is often yourself. You want the article to be perfect, or you hesitate over the topic, title or keywords to use. Don’t try to be flawless. Search for ideas in other websites (but don’t plagiarize), daily news and discussions or whatever is available. Say you want to write about free astrology compatibility lessons. You can look in books, chat rooms, magazines and websites for ideas. As you learn more about the topic, develop your own opinion of it and use that to make your articles unique.
When writing articles, it’s important to be disciplined and consistent. Learn to manage your time well. With each article published, you will get better at it. The key is consistent effort.
